EBT 3-Bay Hopper Car Body

In 1915, the EBT began building 3-bay steel hoppers with Vulcan trucks, 70,000 lbs. capacity, and numbered from 870. The design lasted many years with over 200 cars constructed. Many previously built 2-bay steel hoppers were eventually rebuilt to the 3-bay design.

We are pleased to offer one piece 3-D printed models of this classic 3-bay hopper car body in HO, S and O scales. The picture, courtesy of John Quinn, shows the HO version of the car body. Trucks, couplers, decals, and brake wheel are not included. Vulcan trucks (for HO and O scale) are available on this site here and decals for HO, S and O scale here (scroll down to the 3-bay hopper decals on page 2). Car body is unpainted and may have excess material from the 3D printing process (visible in the sample pictured) that must be removed using a knife, nippers, or other similar tool.

S-scale 3-bay hopper car bodies are not stocked but produced on-demand by the supplier. Please allow 2-3 weeks extra time to ship these items.
