The Way the Store Uses Your Information

The FEBT Company Store uses the information you provide about yourself when registering for an account to determine if you are an FEBT member in good standing in order to provide you with the benefits of an FEBT membership. Your membership status is also checked when you log in with your email address and password. Your billing and shipping address(es) may be validated by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to standardize your addresses with USPS recommendations and to ensure accurate and complete 5+4 zipcodes.

The Store uses the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to complete that order. Your order information is passed to one or more FEBT volunteers who pack and ship your order, and to the store manager and website administrator who ensure your order is processed accurately and in a timely fashion. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. For example, if you choose PayPal as your payment method to use a credit card or PayPal account, your information must be transmitted to PayPal for us to receive payment for your order. The information provided to PayPal is your name, shipping address, email address, IP address, PayPal payer identification, and items ordered, their prices, and any discounts, shipping charges and taxes. Similar information plus your credit card information is provided to our payment processor for orders paid with the credit card payment method. Your name and address are also provided to the United States Postal Service (USPS) or other shippers we may use on mailing labels for your order package.

If you purchase a membership to the FEBT or a membership renewal, the Store notifies the FEBT membership chairman and provides your name, address, email address, membership type, amount paid, and membership number assigned for a new membership, or existing membership number for a membership renewal, date and order number.

If you donate to the FEBT on the Company Store website, the FEBT Fundraising Treasurer is notified with your name, address, donation amount, free gift (if offered and requested), payment method, date and order number.

Any special instructions and comments you provide us in your order are passed to the store manager, order fullfillment volunteers, membership chairman, FEBT Fundraising Treasurer, or other FEBT volunteers, depending on the order contents and nature of the instructions and comments.

The Store uses the information you provide about someone else when placing an order to ship products or process gift FEBT memberships or gift membership renewals for gift recipients. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that order. However, the recipient's address may be validated by the USPS to standardize the address with USPS recommendations and to ensure an accurate and complete 5+4 zipcode.

The Store uses your email address to confirm account registration, provide order confirmation and order status updates to you, and a new temporary password when you request a password reset. We will also email you if we have a question regarding your order. We may use your email address to send you occasional information about the FEBT and/or EBT if you gave us permission to do so during account registration or on the My Account page. We also use your email address to answer email the Store receives from you. Copies of emails we send to you are archived and sent to the store manager, order fullfillment volunteers, and store website administrators to ensure your orders are shipped quickly, and that the website is operating correctly. Your email address is not used for any other purpose and is not shared with outside parties except to facilitate this exchange of email. We will never sell, rent or give lists of email addresses to outside third parties.

The Store uses your IP address to determine the country you are in, in order to display information required for you or applicable to you before log in. Examples include (1) displaying a cookie message and consent button, and displaying a Privacy Notice consent checkbox for users in the European Union, and (2) preventing checkout without first logging in or creating an account for users outside the United States. IP addresses may also be used in fraud prevention and/or to prosecute perpetrators of fraud or other abuses.

The Store periodically produces sales reports, membership reports and donation reports for the use of FEBT officers, with line items containing your name and order information including what you ordered, payment method, prices, shipping charges, discounts applied and taxes collected. This information is used for FEBT financial record-keeping, account balancing, and determining required tax payments to the State of Pennsylvania.

The Store may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design the FEBT Company Store website. The Store will not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals contributing to the aggregate information.

Finally, the Store never uses or shares the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
