Focused on Steam by Ken Kraemer has 134 pages of all color steam locomotive photographs on glossy print paper. There are four pages dedicated to the EBT in addition to the cover photo of EBT No. 15. There are a great many other railroads represented in addition to the EBT -- Strasburg, Western Maryland, Knox and Kane, Cass, Cumbres and Toltec, and Durango and Silverton among a number of others. Following the cessation of major steam operations in North America in the 1950's, the author continued to photograph excursions and steam tourist railroads around the country for over 50 years. Beginning with pictures of the last years of steam locomotives in regular service, the book features over 250 photographs to chronicle the 50 years of steam operations that have survived since the official "end of steam".
